Amber Hameed Syed

Amber Syed is a graduate of the class of 1994. She completed her residency in Pediatrics/Adult Psychiatry/Child Psychiatry in 2001 from Brown University. After practicing in Rhode Island for a few years, she has taken a break from clinical work to spend time at home with her children. She currently resides in Virginia with her husband (Hussain Dhanani, also a graduate of AKU Class of '94) and three children. During her time away from Medicine, she has been volunteering in various advocacy organizations in her community. She is looking forward to serving as Treasurer on the Executive Council and hopes that the numbers and strength of AKUAANA grows significantly over the next year.
