You made a lot of memories at the pink castle – memories of friends you made, professors who challenged you to do your best, even the tiled pathways that you followed as you hurried to class.
Becoming a member of AKUAANA is one of the simplest yet most meaningful ways for AKU alumni to stay connected with AKU as well as demonstrate their pride – pride in Aga Khan University and pride in being part of the strongest chapter of the AKU Alumni Association. AKUAANA strives to serve as a platform to facilitate healthcare, educational, social and philanthropic missions of our community, as well as promote a thriving online community, with activities having a North American focus, since the Association is based in the US.
Membership keeps the alumni engaged with the university community while providing exclusive opportunities for networking, mentorship, and career development. It ensures that the relationships and experiences built during medical college continue to grow into lifelong connections that benefit both your personal and professional journeys.
All AKUMC alumni (defined as physician graduates of AKUMC) residing in North America shall become automatic AKUAANA members and be able to serve on committees and avail benefits of the association except voting rights and eligibility to hold office. AKUAANA members shall become Voting AKUAANA members once they have registered with the Executive Council (EC) to vote, thereby giving them the right to shape the direction of the organization.
